On July 20th, 2021, five candidates running for Mayor of Seattle attended a community forum at Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights Memorial Park. Candidates in attendance were Jessyn Farrell, Bruce Harrell, Lance Randall, Don Rivers, and Casey Sixkiller. During the forum, we asked six questions about how challenges facing the City of Seattle specifically impact the community of Mt. Baker and Southeast Seattle. The questions integrated nearly 30 audience questions that were submitted in advance into 6 topical questions. Watch the recorded forum here or on Youtube!

The forum was sponsored by the Mt. Baker Hub Alliance, Mt. Baker Mutual Aid, Disability Rights WA, the Urbanist, Mercy Housing NW, and Hoa Mai Vietnamese Bilingual Preschool, and was moderated by Gloria Hodge, Director of Hoa Mai, located at ArtSpace Mt. Baker Lofts. The forum was attended by over 100 people in person and 46 people via Zoom. Thank you to everyone who helped organize the forum and to everyone who attended!
